In the Article II of the Constitution it talks about the position and power of the President and the Vice President in the Executive Branch. The Vice President and President have a term of four years. The Article II says that today the electoral college picks the president. Each elector gets one vote for president and vice president. Elections are held on the tuesday that follows the first Monday in November every four years. The Electors put their votes in more than on month later on the Monday following the second Wednesday in December. The President must have lived in America for 14, must be 35 years old, and must be an American Citizen. Vice President becomes President if the president dies or is out of office before the end of his term. Congress decides presidents salarys cannot be changed during his term. The President is in charge of military and the chief leader. The President can make treaty with other countries with two-thirds of the senates vote. If there is no senate-session, the president can make short-term appointments without approval of the senate. The President also can call the congress to meet in case of any emergencies. The President and federal offices can be kicked out of office in case of a high crime.
